I tried it and threw it out on NT / Sun JDK 1.3. It makes most of the 
monospace fonts on my system unreadable.

I tried installing new monospace fonts on my system (other than Lucida 
console and the default which seems to be courier) but couldn't get 
jEdit to recognize any of them.

Whenever I would change a font AA would turn itself back on even if I 
had turned it off. With Lucida Console, everything was italics 
sometimes, then bold, then normal. If I moved the cursor, entire lien 
would change their style.

Please don't make it a default plugin until all the bugs are worked out.
