This is a great plugin!
I'm finding that for most fonts it improves the apperance markedly esp 
if it is a clear font to start with - sun jdk1.3 Windows ME. However, I 
had to enable the fractional font metrics otherwise the text looks very 
faded & . Also, with some fonts, the white-space plugin mis-positions 
the white-space markers with anti-aliasing enabled, but I guess this 
plugin needs re-writing for the latest jEdit anyway. I'm not convinced 
that the line-guides are being placed correctly.
