[ jEdit-users ] Log Viewer does not work with java 21 or 25

  * Jedit 5.7.0
  * Log Viewer 0.8

Using java 17 the Log Viewer works as expected. Using java 21 or 25 the 
Log Viewer does not work.

C:\amazon\jdk21.0.10_7\bin>java -version
openjdk version "21.0.10" 2026-01-20 LTS
OpenJDK Runtime Environment Corretto-21.0.10.7.1 (build 21.0.10+7-LTS)
OpenJDK 64-Bit Server VM Corretto-21.0.10.7.1 (build 21.0.10+7-LTS, 
mixed mode, sharing)

C:\amazon\jdk21.0.10_7\bin>java -jar m:\jedit\latest\jedit.jar

To reproduce:

  * start jedit with java 21 or 25
  * Plugins > Log Viewer > Open Log
  * Select a file to open
  * Select Open

At this point the Log Viewer window opens, but does not show the 
contents of the file that was opened, the jedit window is no longer 
responsive, and is using some cpu. Has to be killed with the task manager.

I have not tried other java runtimes - have only tried Amazon Corretto.
