Hi all, I just put an developers only release of InfoViewer and JIndex on http://titan.informatik.uni-bonn.de/~moebius/jeditplugins.html . You will be pleased to hear, Kevin, that JIndex is now a HoldablePlugin and can be plugged anywhere. To the other developers: Kevin did a very good job here. To switch my plugin from Frame to Holdable, I had to change about 6 lines. My code became smaller, because I threw away the geometry management. I would every plugin developer encourage to switch to HoldablePlugin (if it makes sense, of course). One question, Kevin: How can I determine if any instance of my HoldablePlugin is docked in the current View? I couldn't find anything apropiate. Until this is cleared, the action for opening doc on the current token (S+F1) is disabled. You have to enter keywords in the search field by hand. Slava, you will be pleased to note, that I'm now using the ViewURL and ShowTokenInfo messages from the EditBus plugin. As a consequence, both plugins now depend on EditBus 0.8 or higher. My own old messages are gone. ChangeLog for InfoViewer plugin ====================================================================== Version 0.3 ----------- * Has two new commands: "View current buffer in InfoViewer" and "View selected URL in InfoViewer" (Copied from the HTML Plugin). Thus, InfoViewer has now a submenu on the plugins menu. * The Go to: field is now a history field. * Now listens to ViewURL messages (from the EditBus plugin) instead of ViewInfo messages. This means, that InfoViewer is dependant on the EditBus plugin, but other plugins can utilize the InfoViewer without knowing it at compile time. The ViewInfo message from version 0.2 is no longer. * BugFix: no longer adds itself to EditBus (jEdit does this). * Requires jEdit 2.2pre9 or higher and EditBus 0.8 or higher. ChangeLog for JIndex plugin ====================================================================== Version 0.6 ----------- * JIndex is now a HoldablePlugin. You need the PluginHolder plugin. * The menu entry "Plugins->JIndex" just opens the plugin in it's docked area. The command "Open JIndex on the current selected word/token" (used to be S+F1) is temporarily disabled until the next release. * Split bar between key list and topic list * No longer depends directly on InfoViewer (uses messages from the EditBus plugin) at compile time. But you need InfoViewer 0.3 or higher to display the documentation pages. * Now listens on messages of type org.gjt.sp.jedit.msg.ShowTokenInfo from the EditBus plugin. * BugFix: no longer adds itself to EditBus (jEdit does this) * Requires at least: jEdit 2.2pre9, EditBus 0.8, PluginHolder 0.0.3 * InfoViewer 0.3 is recommended.
