hello- lately, a number of people of asked me if there was some way they could get access to the old versions of plugins on Plugin Central. all of the archive files have been on the server all along, but until now, there was no way to access them. as a preliminary step in this direction, i have changed the server configuration a little to allow browsing of the /archives/ heirarchy on jedit.standmed.com. old versions of plugins are in the directory http://jedit.standmed.com/archives/plugins/unsupported/. these old versions of plugins are *UNSUPPORTED*. the majority of plugin author have neither the time nor energy to support multiple versions of their work, so once they move on to a new version, the old version goes into the unsupported directory. in the near future, i will add a list of links to detail pages for old versions to the bottom of each plugin's main detail page. this page will basically say what i've said above, in addition to advising users to check out the latest version of a plugin before reporting bugs which may have been fixed. -md |
