Hi!

You probably had the "Whole word" checkbox checked in the Search And Replace
dialog. Uncheck it and your regex should work.

For a buffer of text:

abc
def
ghi

The objective is to change to:

Abc
Def
Ghi

The attempted regular expression:

^\w{1}

selected the first word. How to edit the regular expression to select the
first character only then change only the first character to upper case?
