Me neither, we don't have anything to do with the official Debian and Ubuntu Repositories. They don't even use our built debian packages but build there own ones as they are used to for all other software too. On the details page of such a package you should see the Maintainer for it. I guess this is the one to pester. :-) So this would probably be Gabriele Giacone now, it was Daniel Hahler formerly as far as I remember.
