Category: editor core Group: normal bug >Status: Closed >Resolution: Works For Me Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: https://www.google.com/accounts () Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) >Summary: I don't know what BufferSet Scope means Initial Comment: Hello, I recently updated my jEdit version and am finding that the files list (drop down on top of buffer) is not consistent across all buffers like it used to be. Note: By buffer I mean a text area in a split view. If I open a file in one buffer and then try to see that file in another buffer (in another section of the same split view), it does not show and I am forced to open the file again. Each buffer has a different file list. This makes quickly switching between files quite cumbersome and it would be lovely if it could get fixed. jEdit is my favourite editor and there really is not anything as wonderful it and so I would not want to switch for something an issue as simple as this. Thanks ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Dale Anson (daleanson) Date: 2012-02-15 21:11 Message: Check your BufferSet setting under Utilties - Global Options - jEdit - View. It sounds like you have it set to EditPane but you would prefer either View or Global. The three BufferSet scopes are: Global: Includes all buffers open from any EditPane. View: EditPanes in the same View share the same BufferSet. Opening a buffer in one View will not affect the other views. EditPane: Each EditPane can have its own independent BufferSet. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=3488082&group_id=588 |
