Alan, does Your suggest mean that closing a dirty untitled buffer causes
jedit again to ask me "save/discard?" ?  I like the absence of this
question :-)

This option, when implemented, should *replace* the "never mark untitled
buffers dirty" option because there is no reason to have both of them.
