Category: text area and syntax packages Group: normal bug Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Vladimir Shatilo (brain-my) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Incorrect size of tabulators (i.e. \t symbols) Initial Comment: jEdit 4.3.2 server mode, using java 1.6.0_20 on Linux ubuntu-vladimirs 2.6.32-24-generic #39-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jul 28 06:07:29 UTC 2010 i686 GNU/Linux Output of tabulators (i.e. \t symbols) is incorrect in text area (when tabulators are not replaced with spaces). Try to put following line into text area when tab stop = 4 symbols 1111222233334444555566667777888899990000 2222 4444 6666 8888 0000 second line will be wrongly formatted (will be enormous short because of incorrect size of tabulators). ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Robert Schwenn (rschwenn) Date: 2010-08-06 23:17 Message: Please goto "Utilities -> Global Options -> Text Area" and turn off "Fractional Font Metrics". Now a mono-spaced font should be displayed correctly. If so, You have re-discovered bug #1256255 ;-) p.s. When turning off "Fractional Font Metrics", it may be that the display isn't correct immediately. It may need some playing around.. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=3040827&group_id=588 |
