Regarding the first issue - file not loaded when jEdit is invoked by some file manager - the problem seems to be in the command-line that is passed to the jEdit shortcut. Probably the file name is not passed from the file manager to this shortcut. Regarding the multi-item clipboard - I don't really know what it means, can you explain or post a link to some web page explaining it?
