If the issue is that moving from a two-monitor setup to a single-monitor setup causes jEdit to open on the wrong monitor (which no longer exists), then I think I fixed this a few months ago, and the fix should exist already in 4.3pre17. I made another fix on top of it for 4.3pre18, but the one in pre17 should be sufficient for this specific problem.
