Category: None Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Alan Ezust (ezust) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: If it's a service, it should also have a sys tray icon Initial Comment: While jEdit is running as a service, it would be nice to see a system tray icon telling me so. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Matthieu Casanova (kpouer) Date: 2009-02-01 23:48 Message: maybe a plugin could do that ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Robert Schwenn (rschwenn) Date: 2009-02-01 23:10 Message: Better this feature would presuppose Java 6 than it never comes. One more item of the icon's menu should be: - toggle the automatically start of jEdit server at system startup ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Björn Kautler (vampire0) Date: 2007-03-02 13:37 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=918212 Originator: NO And why is this request on the jEditLauncher Bugs Tracker? This should be on the Feature Requests Tracker. There are already proprietary implementations with JNI for some platforms, but I think this feature should either be deferred or implemented with a check on Java version because Java 6 supports System Tray Icons via java.awt.SystemTray and java.awt.TrayIcon. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Robert Schwenn (rschwenn) Date: 2007-02-11 22:04 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1486645 Originator: NO ... and probably this icon could have a right-click menu to: - stop jEdit Server - show jEdit window - show some status info (settings directory, versions of java + jEdit) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=350588&aid=1657143&group_id=588 |
