Alright.  Suggest either asking Jonathan to wait until we get 4.4.0 out, 
or to take a look with the most recent "dev" build on the website 
(4.3pre16, yes?).  Given his signature, he's probably the most qualified 
of anyone to know what's correct regarding FreeMarker anyway, eh?  From 
a CS-person standpoint, and given my earlier comment that ya "gotta 
start from somewhere," it's hard to argue with "it works."  If he 
decides it works with 4.3pre16 or 4.4.0 ...
