Category: text area and syntax packages Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Kevin Hunter (hunteke) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Context menu and 'Select All' Initial Comment: This is probably the exact same bug as http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1325352&group_id=588&atid=100588 (Context menu and 'Select all'), but I open a new bug as that one was automatically closed almost 2 years ago. Summary: Select all (Ctrl+A), then right-click in the selection (as if to copy, or cut). About one in 3 or 4 times, I lose the selection. Alright, trying a few more times, try this: Select All via Ctrl+A (note cursor moves to bottom) Normal click some where. (So you lose selection, *and* move cursor) Select All via Ctrl+A Right click Selection lost with right click. Although it's an *odd* use case, this reproduces it every time at r13032 and may help you find the actual bug. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kevin Hunter (hunteke) Date: 2008-07-15 08:17 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1271235 Originator: YES Nope, I just tested again, this time with a touchpad (that I *didn't touch!) and I can reproduce it. I also use Ubuntu 8.04 and Windows XP. I tried with Metal and GTK+ look & feel. Are you sure you don't move your mouse while clicking ? Maybe you do a small drag ? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Kevin Hunter (hunteke) Date: 2008-07-13 16:49 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1271235 Originator: YES Hrmm, I'm not sure of where to put this, Text Area and Syntax Highlighting, perhaps? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=2017514&group_id=588 |
