Category: None Group: None Status: Open Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Alan Ezust (ezust) >Assigned to: Matthieu Casanova (kpouer) >Summary: BufferTabs: Option to show each tab in only 1 editpane Initial Comment: Each view has its own "current node" or active project/group. It would be nice if BufferTabs was aware of which project was opened in each View and would not show tabs for files in other projects. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Alan Ezust (ezust) Date: 2008-05-04 13:11 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=935841 Originator: YES Here is a better description of the feature request. Option: Show each tab in only 1 editpane. Each buffertabs should show a list of buffers opened in this editpane last. Whenever a buffer is opened in another editpane, tell previous editPanes that was opened to it to "open previous buffer", and remove the tab, as it adds the tab to the new pane. next-buffer and previous-buffer need to be overridden in plugin to go to next-tab and previous-tab (if tabs exist) and call jedit core version if buffertabs is not in the editpane. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Alan Ezust (ezust) Date: 2008-05-01 10:21 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=935841 Originator: YES nevermind, I almost have it working myself... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Alan Ezust (ezust) Date: 2008-05-01 09:34 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=935841 Originator: YES I just enabled this feature for jEdit core with the buffer switcher. Matthieu, can you please update buffertabs so that it catches the EBMessage BufferChanging, and refreshes the current tabs for all editPAnes of the current View (not just its own), based on what buffers belong to the view: jEdit.getBuffers(view) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Alan Ezust (ezust) Date: 2006-10-09 10:08 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=935841 Thinking about it some more, here is another idea: New option for BufferTabs proposed. Checkbox. Y/N - Show each tab in only one view With this option switched on, each buffertab is "owned" by a single view. and that tab is only shown in the view where the buffer was opened. If we did this, there would be no need for a dependency on projectviewer at all. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Matthieu Casanova (kpouer) Date: 2006-10-02 23:52 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=285591 Hi, this should not add any dependency on ProjectViewer please. Like you did for Console I think ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=997936&aid=1569749&group_id=588 |
