Category: texteditor Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: encorejane (encorejane) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: SmartHome/End-option to disable the third invoacation? Initial Comment: IMO, the smartHome/End functionality becomes useless with the third invocation, as no more changes would occur after the third invocation. Also, Ctrl+home or Ctrl+end could be used instead for that purpose. It would be nicer, though, for smarthome and smart end to behave like most other text editors, which is to alternate between start/end of line and start/end of whitespace. Two simple modifications in each the smartHome and smartEnd functions in TextArea.java would solve this. Or if not a permanent modification, maybe this could be an option in the preferences. The switch condition would change from: getInputHandler().getLastActionCount() to: getInputHandler().getLastActionCount()%2 This would make it alternate between 0 and 1. Then unaffective default case can be removed. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Alan Ezust (ezust) Date: 2008-02-24 21:35 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=935841 Originator: NO Nice suggestion.
