First, I don't use FTP plugin with the FTP protocol, and I don't have any plans to test it either, since I use it only with ssh/sftp. When using sftp:// file addresses, it follows symlinked directories ok, it just doesn't "know" on the other end that it is a symlink, so you could for example, open two buffers on the same file, but they would appear as different files/buffers in jedit if they happen to be the same file arrived at via different symlink directories. I haven't tested it on symlink files either. Anyway, I just built a newer jsch.jar that includes jzlib 1.0.7 + jsch-0.1.37 and uploaded it to http://jedit.wiki.sourceforge.net/space/showimage/jsch.jar Try replacing the jsch.jar that you have already installed as part of the FTP plugin with this one, and see if it works better for you. If it does, please report your findings here. If it's worth releasing a newer version of the FTP plugin as a result of this updated jsch lib, I'll schedule it, but the current version works fine for me at the moment.
