Category: editor core Group: normal bug >Status: Closed Resolution: Works For Me Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: Anakreon Mejdi (ilits) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Focus problems with jdk1.5 Initial Comment: The focus is not handled correctly with jdk1.5 If I press Enter from the Project Manager for example, the file is opened, the View has the focus but Project Viewer stays in front of the view. The same happens with the hyper seach window. Also, If I switch virtual descktops (in IceWM window manager), jEdit grabs focus (when initialy an other application had it) but it doesn't display. It remains behind the application which had the focus in the first place. None of this problems existed with jdk1.4 Anakreon ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: SourceForge Robot (sf-robot) Date: 2008-01-05 19:20 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1312539 Originator: NO This Tracker item was closed automatically by the system. Is this still an issue? There seems to be nothing to be done in jEdit for these problems. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Maik Nijhuis (manyac) Date: 2005-06-01 03:35 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1289105 My jEdit (4.2final) has different focus problems. My java version is Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM (build 1.5.0_02-b09, mixed mode) My window manager is fvwm2. When I open a pop-up window from jEdit, for example the search window or the global options window, and then close the pop-up, the main window does not get the focus back. Other windows also do not get focused, so no window has the focus anymore. In the no-window-has-focus situation I can't use my window-manager's window list (which I can popup using a keybinding or by clicking the background with the right mouse button) to get the focus to jEdit. Focusing any other window using the window list still works. (I can still get the focus on jEdit by left-clicking the jEdit window) Once I have focused another window using the window list, I can use the window list again to focus jEdit. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Marko Vidberg (mvidberg) Date: 2004-12-09 06:27 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=1166189 Any idea on when/if this will be fixed in Java? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Anakreon Mejdi (ilits) Date: 2004-10-02 15:45 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=397418 This is a problem of java1.5 after all. The same behaveur exists in the SwingSet2 demo. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=1038754&group_id=588 |
