I use jEdit a lot, and I'll be honest, I never knew that macro was there. Being a new plugin developer, that macro rocked, but I too don't think it's in the right place. I really like that it's included with jEdit though. I remember talk on the Users mailing list about including some sort of Plugin Development help within jEdit. Perhaps there should be another set of Macros called "Plugin Development" which can help create a basic directory structure, build.xml/properties (with/without build support) and this one. This might be better suited for another topic, but I think including some "Plugin Development" help within jEdit is a great idea. It could help to standardize some of the plugin development processes. Maybe keeping this idea in mind can help classify some of these files?
