Hey Bert,

next time please modify the latest SVN version and make use of the new 
HASH_CHAR and HASH_CHARS implementation, this improves parsing speed and 
therefor performance. You find further details about this in the 
documentation and at 
http://svn.sourceforge.net/viewvc/jedit/jEdit/trunk/modes/lilypond.xml?r1=8281&r2=8688 
you can see what I modified in your updated modefile.
