Category: keyboard / mouse Group: minor bug Status: Open >Resolution: Postponed Priority: 5 Private: No Submitted By: daniel hahler (blueyed) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Cannot type ` (backtick) Initial Comment: I cannot press ` (backtick) followed by space to get the backtick in jEdit. I'm using "setxkbmap de deadgraveacute", with "setxkbmap de nodeadkeys" it works, but I then I'm unable to use the deadkeys for decorating other chars of course. (It also fails for "setxkbmap de" alone) There's no problem with other keys like ~, ', ^ etc. This might be caused by an Ubuntu upgrade to Edgy or an Java update, but I'm quite sure it worked before. I've tried it with and without the new experimental keyboard handling. Is there a way to debug what jEdit receives? These bugs seem to be fixed in Java 6. At least it works here (Ubuntu Dapper, Java 1.6.0-beta, jedit 4.3pre7, setxkbmap de deadgraveacute).
