Damn, you're right. I use the GTK+ Look&Feel on a Fedora 8 box with Sun Java 1.6.0_02. Switching to the Metal L&F fixes it. Thanks for the tip. But then . . . I'm a sucker for consistency. Is this a problem caused by jEdit or the JRE? I'm suspecting the latter.
