I'm having some problems printing from jEdit to a CUPS printer. The job is always deferred, and after looking at the PostScript that gets generated by printing "to file" it seems like the problem may be in that PS output. gv gives the following error when trying to open it: ERROR: /configurationerror in --setpagedevice--ESP Ghostscript 815.04: Unrecoverable error, exit code 1 Additional information: [/DeferredMediaSelection true] Operand stack: --dict:5/5(L)-- Execution stack: %interp_exit .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- false 1 %stopped_push 1 3 %oparray_pop 1 3 %oparray_pop 1 3 %oparray_pop 1 3 %oparray_pop .runexec2 --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- 2 %stopped_push --nostringval-- 1 3 %oparray_pop --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --nostringval-- --dict:1/2 (L)-- --nostringval-- 2 %dict_continue Dictionary stack: --dict:1125/1686(ro)(G)-- --dict:0/20(G)-- --dict:124/200(L)-- Current allocation mode is local Last OS error: 2 Any ideas would be greatly appreciated. I love jEdit (actually used it a few years ago and gave it up for the "hardcore" editors like Emacs and Vim, but I'm starting to appreciate it more again) and would find it very handy to be able to print stuff. Important info: Operating System = Ubuntu GNU/Linux 7.04 Java = Sun Java 6 SE jEdit = 4.3 pre 11 (from SVN trunk) It's a clean install, no plugins or even any changed preferences, just built and run tonight from SVN. Anything else, just ask. Thanks much, and best regards. -- Taylor Venable ta...@me... http://real.metasyntax.net:2357/ |
