I'm running jedit on Windows NT.
Upon system startup, I run the following command to speed up subsequent
starts of jedit:
"C:\Program Files\Java\j2re1.4.2_05\bin\javaw.exe" -mx128m -jar "U:\jedit\jedit.jar" -nogui
When I start jedit to edit a file, I can see that the second start just uses the first instance started (i.e. the one with the -nogui option).
When I'm finished editing and close jedit, it closes the window and removes the jedit instance.
Thus, the next time I start jedit, I have to (impatiently) wait for it to load.
Is there a way to force jedit to stay resident?
Thanks,
Scott
