I've found the Smart Edit set of macros on the community site. They replicate the BRIEF behavior of making copy/cut and pasting of current line (when nothing is selected) work great. However, in BRIEF I could change my selection mode to normal (aka Windows standard), rectangular (which works differently in jEdit but works), or line. In line mode, regardless of where I was on the line, the entire line was added to the selection. BRIEF actually kicked into a special mode at that point. With no other keys pressed, UP and DOWN arrows would select additional adjacent lines. Is there some similar functionality I overlooked? The "Select Line" builtin doesn't do it. "Select Line Range" expects me to type in line numbers. |
