Hello, This isn't (just) a pre-Panther problem. I have 10.3.2, Java 1.4.2, and=20= an Australian keyboard (no keys dedicated to accented characters) and=20 keyboard layout, and I can produce no accented characters in the text=20 buffer. I can, however, see accented characters that have been inserted=20= into the file with a text editor other than jEdit. It is only characters produced with the option key as a modifier key=20 that produce this behaviour. Everything else is fine, including, for=20 example, Unicode IPA produced with an appropriate keyboard layout. So where does this leave us?
