I actually got '=E9' and '=E8' to work because I have dedicated keys for=20
theses symbols. Yesterday, I tried a little bit further and realised=20
that pressing =A8, ^ or ` twice (I also tried with space) did not do=20
anything, while it should respectively print =A8, ^ and `.

My conclusion is that these keys, which are dead keys on my keyboard=20
layout (Swiss-French) are simply absorbed by JEdit key event processing=20
system.
