Hi all,

now in ProjectVieweers CVS there is a version with the class
  projectviewer.vpt.IconComposer
It cares about caching renderer icons and has two composeIcons() methods. If otheres do need them
we should decide wheter to put them into GUIUtilities.java or into CommonControls
(even thogh this is not control).

PV is already using it, but it is not yet perfect.
