It ends up being pretty easy coding an "internationalization api" for jEdit that even plugins can use easily. But I don't know how Slava feels about that; there was a feature request a while back (I can't find the entry in sourceforge), and Slava said he was not too fond of the idea because it would be difficult to maintain lots of translations. I think it would be nice to have a i18n-aware api (e.g., using java.util.ResourceBundle instances for plugins that have internationalized messages and for jEdit itself), and even a "language pack" feature for users to install lang packs as they install plugins (for instance). -- Marcelo Vanzin mar...@po...
