Well, that's a fine argument, but if I make typo, especially adjacent to a punctuation characters (which can be pretty narrow), clicking in the right place is pretty difficult. Period, comma, colon, semicolon, exclamation point, apostrophe all create a real problem for mouse selection. Personally, I'd prefer to have to click ESC to return keyboard focus to the editing buffer. Hypersearch in the Search Bar is not an option for me. It's never what I want. From a pragmatic standpoint, a fixed-width font in the Search Bar would help somewhat, 'cause then I could at least use the mouse to correct typos.
