Hi ProjectViewer developers, first, thanks for this plugin! I would like to use ProjectViewer without the XML (and thus Sidekick) plugin. If I understand correctly, the only reason to depend on the XML plugin is that a XML parser is needed. According to the documentation this should be feasible by having a generic XML parser available in lib/ext (or jdk 1.4, but I'm still using 1.3.1_01). This does not work, since ProjectViewer's .props file explicitly requests the XML plugin and when I try to remove it, jEdit complains and refuses to load ProjectViewer. I have tried removing 'xercesImpl.jar' and 'xmlParserAPIs.jar' from the jars directory and ProjectViewer actually works with a Crimson parser in lib/ext, but it would be nice if you could totally remove the XML plugin dependancy. Another suggestion: you could modify your build.xml file to direct docs generation to another directory than 'build', so that invoking a 'clean' to rebuild the plugin from scratch would not kill the documentation. Thanks Amedeo |
