Hi, I too have the same need- Diff two dir. structures & also files within. But with one difference. I would like this diff functionality in JDiffPlugin rather than PV. Obviously PV could have a Prj. based diff by using this Directory-based diff functionality if implemented in jdiff for its Project root. The reason it should be in JDiff is becoz that is where is rightly belongs. JDiff diffs files so it can be extended to diff directories too. Like I currently use $ softwares to diff between my Project directory location & CVS location to merge or diff between them. I would like JDiff authors to think abt it & implement it soon if they find it a nice idea, I will attain nirvana if this functionality comes in jdiff. No need to use another software to diff. directories. -Jiger >From: Stephan Schiessling <s...@ra...> >Reply-To: s...@ra... >To: jed...@li... >Subject: [ jEdit-devel ] Want to add diff functionality in ProjectViewer >plugin >Date: Mon, 17 Feb 2003 17:02:05 +0100 > > >A very common problem for me is to find differences in different >versions of projects (There is no version control for that). >Actually it means: Compare content of two directory structures, >find files/directories, which are in one but not in other, or which were >modified. > >Currently I do the following: >First I run a standalone differ program and then look at differences, >select a source file in one directory, then the same corresponding >source file in another directory.
