Bugs item #665697, was opened at 2003-01-10 12:58 You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=665697&group_id=588 Category: plugins Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Anthony Roy (ant-roy) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Console Plugin not properly stopping processes. Initial Comment: Pressing the Stop icon does not seem to be properly stopping all processes. In particular, when running the following macro (where tex is the filename): String str = "texify --pdf --run-viewer '" + tex +"'"; runInSystemShell(view, str); When there is an error in the tex file, the process pauses and asks for instruction. There seeme to be no way of entering information prompted by the command line, so I am forced to Stop the process. However, although the process is terminated according to the console, if you look in Windows process manager, pdflatex is still running. This causes the file containing the error to be locked for editing! Steps to reproduce: 1) Run texify on a tex file containing errors. 2) Stop the process when the error is displayed. 3) latex will still be running in the background. I would guess that the texify process is spawning other latex processes, and these are not being stopped when the console 'Stop' is pressed.
