Golden (ggolden) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: mac osx - project viewer not saving Initial Comment: Since updating to mac osx 10.2.1, the project viewer plugin (1.0.2) in jedit 4.0.3 is no longer saving files to the ~/.jedit/projectviewer folder, so any changes to projects are not stored. It is able to store one file, the "import.properties", but not files.properties or projects.properties. Here's the directory: drwxr-xr-x 3 ggolden ggolden 102 Oct 1 12:46 . drwxr-xr-x 19 ggolden ggolden 646 Oct 1 13:01 .. -rw-r--r-- 1 ggolden ggolden 258 Oct 1 12:46 import.properties From activity.log: [message] Log: When reporting bugs, please include the following information: [message] Log: java.version=1.3.1 [message] Log: java.vm.version=1.3.1_03-69 [message] Log: java.runtime.version=1.3.1-root_1.3.1_020714- 12:46 [message] Log: java.vendor=Apple Computer, Inc. I'd need access to an OS X machine to check it, though, and I don't. :-/ If someone else could test that better... About the plugin not showing on PluginManager, the last version was released with an incorrect dependence on Java 1.4 (it works fine with 1.3), so if you're using 1.3 the plugin won't show up. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Glenn R. Golden (ggolden) Date: 2002-10-01 15:26 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=621456 Just a thought - I noticed a) jedit closes much faster under 10.2.1, before it took a few seconds after quiting for the app to disapear from the dock. b) the file changes by project viewer seem to be written out on close. I wonder if jedit and the plugins are getting a chance to shutdown properly? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Glenn R. Golden (ggolden) Date: 2002-10-01 13:23 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=621456 Sorry! I used the plugin manager to update plugins, and it didn't offer a new version... So I removed the project viewer and re-installed it...and it doesn't show up in the project viewer list! So, I went to plugins.jedit.org and downloaded and installed the 1.0.4 version. Why doesn't it show up in the project manager's list? Now, after adding a project, in the ~/.jedit folder there is a projectmanager folder, and in there is a /projects/ folder, which is empty, and the projects are still not stored. So, yes, the 1.0.4 latest version does not work. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Marcelo Vanzin (vanza) Date: 2002-10-01 13:09 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=75113 Does this happen with the latest version of the plugin (1.0.4)? Is there any specific reason why you're using the 1.0.2 release? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: https://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=617145&group_id=588 |
