Bugs item #561984, was opened at 2002-05-30 05:02 You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=561984&group_id=588 Category: text area and syntax packages Group: normal bug Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Text area does not keep up with cursor Initial Comment: When typing (so far in HTML, Text and Java) the window does not always update to show what you are typing. This often occurs if you have moved to look at another section with the scroll bar, and then start typing (the text should re-display to the cursor position), and sometimes when typing and the text goes off the bottom of the screen. The problem is, this does not always happen. JEdit works OK at the start, and the problem emerges. I cannot work out any consistent pattern. I am running JEdit 4.0 on JDK1.4.0 on a Windows 98 PC and the same config on Redhat Linux. The problem has never occured in previous JEdit and JDK installations (most recent was JEdit 3.2 and JDK1.3.1). I have the following plugins loaded: Archive, AStyle, Background, BufferTabs, Character Map, Class Wizard, Clipper, Code2HTML, Console, Context Help, Drag & Drop, Editor Scheme, Error List, FTP, InfoViewer, Java Insight, Java Browser, JCompiler, JDiffPlugin, JIndex, JSwatPlugin, JTidy, LatestVersionCheck, Look and Feel, Project Viewer, Quick Note Pad, Speed Java, Task List, Text Tools, Tomcat Switch, Wheel Mouse, White Space, XInsert, XML, XSLT, Common Controls. Active plugins (that I can tell) are: Buffer Tabs, Context Help, Drag & Drop, Look and Feel, Project Viewer, Wheel Mouse, White Space, XInsert, XML Tree ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Slava Pestov (spestov) Date: 2002-05-31 14:27 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=2280 can you check the activity log (utilities-activity log) for errors? ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=561984&group_id=588 |
