[ jEdit-users ] Loss of Caret

I'm experiencing an intermittant loss of the editing caret.

It happens pretty reliably in the following situation, (so maybe someone 
can try to confirm this phenomenon): I have the screen split 
horizontally into 2 areas. I select material in one area and copy it to 
the clipboard. Then I mouse click in the second area to give it focus. I 
then search in the second area (for something other than the selected 
material). The search results window comes up and I click on a result 
line. The focus then goes to that line in the second editing window as 
it should. But, although the line appears highlighted, there is no 
editing caret, the arrow keys don't work and it is not possible to paste 
the previously selected material.

I'm using RH 7.3 on an pentium 3 system with Sun's jdk 1.4.0.
