Bugs item #466987, was opened at 2001-10-01 14:57 You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=466987&group_id=588 Category: editor core Group: severe bug >Status: Closed >Resolution: Invalid Priority: 5 Submitted By: Charles Kastner (ckastne) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Not recognizing Windows Classpath Initial Comment: JEdit is not recognizing the Windows %CLASSPATH% system variable when compiling java. I have tried to set it in both the jedinit as: -classpath "%CLASSPATH%" -jar -mx32m or -classpath %CLASSPATH% -jar -mx32m I have also tried to set it in the java compiler plug- in without any luck. Is there something that I am doing wrong? I can compile from a DOS prompt and %CLASSPATH% works fine. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: John Gellene (jgellene) Date: 2001-10-01 18:22 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=117073 When the -jar option is used, the sole member of the classpath is the jar file itself. This results from the behavior of the Java application loader (java.exe/javaw.exe), not jEdit. You can confirm this by evaluating System.getProperty("java.class.path") in BeanShell. Use jedinit to construct a command line that does not use the -jar option; these is a template for this in the drop- down menu. The key is to include jedit.jar in the specification of the -classpath parameter, and to name the fully-qualified classname of the jEdit class as the target of the application loader. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=466987&group_id=588 |
