while we're on the topic, what would be a really nice feature for me is to have a shortcut that would do a hypersearch directly. i.e. i normally do incremental, so my search dialog doesn't have the hypersearch option checked. but sometimes i'd like to do a hypersearch without having to go check that box explicitly. like the Quick Incremental Search and Quick Hypersearch - i'd like a Find Incremental and Find Hypersearch. or maybe the Find, Search in Directory, and Search in Buffers could have their own saved settings. basically, if i'm searching in the current buffer, i want incremental. if i'm searching in all buffers or in a directory, i want hypersearch. does that make sense? --- John Gellene <jge...@ny...> wrote: > > Ok, guys, I'm stupid.
