Bugs item #451526, was opened at 2001-08-16 04:41 You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=451526&group_id=588 Category: editor core Group: None Status: Open Resolution: None Priority: 5 Submitted By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Assigned to: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Summary: Opening file freezes editor Initial Comment: It has happened probably 50% of the time (under Windows) where double-clicking to open a file in the File System Browser marks the file in that window as open, but the tab doesn't appear in the main window (using buffertabs) and the main window freezes, redrawing the buttons as the mouse moves over them, clicking on menu items doesn't work etc? Close and re-start seems to fix both of the problem (until it happens again) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- >Comment By: Philip X (philipx) Date: 2001-08-16 07:38 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=65985 I'm having the same problem on W2K (3.2pre8, JDK 1.3.1). Would you like a screen dump ? (It's kinda long - when it froze and I move my mouse over jEdit's toolbar, menu, etc it generate more errors...) ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: Nobody/Anonymous (nobody) Date: 2001-08-16 06:43 Message: Logged In: NO I already have the heap size as you say. I am using jedit 3.2pre8, NT4 sp6, Java SDK & RTE 1.3.1 ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Comment By: John Gellene (jgellene) Date: 2001-08-16 06:27 Message: Logged In: YES user_id=117073 What version of Windows, JDK and jEdit are you using? Try increasing the Java heap size by including -mx32m in the options passed to the Java interpreter. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can respond by visiting: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/?func=detail&atid=100588&aid=451526&group_id=588 |
