I saw similar behavior starting in jEdit 3.0.x, on Red Hat Linux 6.2 with IBM's JDK; In italic text (comments, et cetera), actual cursor position and carat display would often be separated by three or four characters. This occurred before the release of the AntiAlias plugin, so I doubt it's related. Being rather pragmatic, I solved this problem by removing italics from all styles. ;-) ~ j. |
