Summary: printing does not work

Details: using jEdit2.6pre9, when I hit print, my printer prints out a grey
line on the top and bottom of my paper. nothing else, no code at all.

also, jEdit than hangs and crashes.

i'm using SDK1.3, on win98SE, with 128mb RAM

I just tried printing again today, and everyting worked just fine.  I am
now using jEdit3.0.2.  Unfortunately, I see other are still having problems
with this jEdit version and the same OS (Win98).

I have the same Problem (including crash).
jEdit 3.0.2, W98SE, 128 MB RAM, JDK 2 v1.3.0
Epson EPL 5700L

(1) I am getting a Windows-native print dialog.
(2) I get the same error whether I print the entire file or just part of
it.

Perhaps those reporting bugs on Win98 could reply if (1) They do not get a
Windows-native print dialog in response to a jEdit print command, or(2) if
they are attempting to print anything less than the entire file (jEdit does
not paginate until the print dialog closes).
Also, jEdit3.0final fixed the ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException problem in
earlier versions (which occurred when syntax highlighting was turned off
for printing).

I have also had this problem.  In my case the app also did not crash.  

I also have an additional error which may or may not be related.  When I
try to print I get a messagebox that reads:
"BeanShell Execution Error
Bsh Method:_action11

The following error was encountered:

java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException"

Despite the error, JEdit will print out the single grey line with the java
appname and path.

I just upgraded to 2.7pre2 today, and am using jdk1.3 on Windows98 with
64MB RAM.  Printer is an HP LaserJet 5.

I have the same problem, though my JEdit didn't crash. I just upgraded
JEdit from ver 2.3 to ver. 2.6, two versions have the same problem. I'm
using jdk1.2.2 on windows98, 128MB RAM.
