These are reflective of my own philosophy of design (simple, and usable) so take it or leave it as you please. * Putting news first may be nice for those who are familiar with jEdit, but not for those coming for the first time. The "About jEdit" doesn't even show on the screen without scrolling and 80% of web users never scroll (this may not be quite as true for visitors looking for a programmers editor). Maybe they should be split, so that the news items are listed on the right in another box. * The new white background is much better. At least the menu is noticeable. I still think the Download link should be more prominent. Those who are familiar with the site can look for what they need. Those who aren't are looking to download. * How about a link from 'Latest stable version' to the download page? * The development page says "There are two sample plugins" and then lists three... * The color that indicates a link is very close to the color of the rest of the text.
