While running jedit under Mint 17.0 Cinnamon, I find myself back at the login screen. It is as if I am being logged out. This only happens while running jedit. I am using jedit 5.3.1. I have tried installs via the Software Manager (deb package) and using the java installer (jar) available on the site. The problem persists in either case.
I can't reproduce this in KDE/Kubuntu.

Which version of Ubuntu Mr Ezust? I didn't have this problem on Slackware 14.1.
I am using kubuntu wily. I just tried installing cinnamon from the ubuntu sources and I am unable to reproduce this problem from cinnamon. Do you have the same problem when you start jEdit with the -nosettings option?
I wonder what version of java you are running? echo $JAVA_HOME and also the output of 'java -version'...
Unfortunately I only have a vague memory of this now. The machine where
this happened has been in storage for quite some time. I think it was
with the gnu java re. I no longer reproduce this bug. I use the Oracle
version of java now.
