I mean the menu ALT shortcuts do not underline when I press the ALT key. This works properly when using the Metal look and feel, but not the Windows look and feel.
I am using:
Windows XP SP2
JRE 1.6.0_03
jedit 4.3pre11
Windows Look & Feel

Would You provide a little, little bit more information, please ;-)
What system (OS, Versions of Java and jedit)?
What do You mean exactly?
If You meant the access to jedit's main menu or i.e. options in the search dialog with ALT + underlined key: for me it works perfectly.
Windows XP SP2
JRE 1.6.0_03
jedit 4.3pre11
Windows Look & Feel

Yes, the underlines of the mnemonics in menus and dialogs are not shown, when ALT is pressed, although they should become visible in this moment.
Nevertheless the shortcut "ALT + mnemonic" DO work. That's why I changed the subject, ok?
Note: This is only an issue, if the Windows option is active to hide the underlines until ALT key is pressed (in display options ... advanced).
I see them (underlines at the right time) with Windows 7 and Java 1.6.0_23 with windows L&F on jEdit 4.5pre1.
I think this was a JDK bug.
