#1400 Maximised status not remembered

I'm using Windows 2000. In the default config, if the
main window is maximised on exit, on restarting jedit
the window is not maximised. However it covers the
whole screen and cannot be resized without moving the
window first (perhaps because the window has grown -
see bug 497301). The maximised status is remembered
correctly when the swing look-and-feel borders are
enabled.
