#1029 AntFarm 1.1 XML parsing error
When I try to launch AntFarm 1.1, I get the following
error:
javax.xml.parsers.FactoryConfigurationError: Provider
org.apache.xerces.jaxp.SAXParserFactoryImpl not found
My guess is that it has to do with the xerces.jar in
XML 0.8. I've seen various suggestions to replace the
xerces.jar with a previous version, but that sounds
like a workaround, not a fix.

specific steps that got you the error and if it is
recuring? Also, are there any errors preceding it in the

Steps to reproduce:
I installed XML 0.8 and AntFarm 1.1 via Plugin Central,
then restarted jEdit. To produce the error, I selected Ant
Farm from the Plugins 1 menu item, and the error dialog
appeared. This is reproducible every time. There is no
other xerces.jar in my classpath. I'm running jEdit via
the jEdit Launcher using the -jar option and JDK 1.4. I've
tried uninstalling and reinstalling the plugins, but always
get the same error.

Slava asked that I take this line out since it was being
handled by the XML plugin:
AntFarm.java: 276 v.1.9
Class.forName( "javax.xml.parsers.SAXParserFactory" );
However, we seem to have found a condition where the
classes are not loaded properly prior to AntFarm launching.
I'm not sure what the condition is.
Slava, can you recommend a course of action? I'm not sure
what the side effects of adding this line back in are.

I get this problem occasionally as well.
While we wait for the fix, running the attached macro should
fix your problem. You can try to put the macro in your
startup directory, but this will not always work. Running
this macro just before opening up AntFarm should work
everytime. You should have to do this only once per jEdit
session.

As per the SQL Plugin/Xerces thread Calvin pointed me at,
this should be fixed in the next release (coming soon after
a couple other bugs are ironed out).
I cannot re-create the problem, so if someone who can
builds from CVS and lets me know if is solves the problem,
I would appreciate it.

I am getting this as well with same configuration but using
jEdit 4.0 pre9. Does not seem to be plug-in specific since
it happens on the WheelMouse when I have that installed and
then on AntFarm when I uninstall WheelMouse. I am using
Set_Up_Xerces.bsh which fixes the problem, but want you to
be aware that it still may be an issue. Please email me if
I can help debug the problem. (BTW--You guys rock!)

Although I can't easily reproduce this bug (I only get it
every once in awhile), I haven't had this bug with the
latest CVS build of AntFarm, which I've been using for
around a week.

antfarm AFTER I open others plugins I normally use like
project. Workaround is close jEdit, open again and open
antfarm first.
