For the 3.0 version of iTop we will stick to version currently in the repository (CKEditor 4.x) as the beta is just around the corner.
For a next version we might consider upgrading to CKEditor 5.x :)
If you would like to refer to this comment somewhere else in this project, copy and paste the following link:
Reading through the forum und heavily searching, I could not find any other reference to the syntax higlightning or CKEditor.
This is all good and fine and it works for me as long as I edit the richt text field (see attached screen copy).
Once I have saved the FAQ or other richt text content, it wont show up as richt text content any more...
Do you have any suggestion?
Is there any way to add PowerShell to the list of supported languages in the included CKEditor?
Hi Jeffrey,
I don't think that we have any control on the CKEditor supported languages.
I only vaguely looked at it; does it use the GeSHi plugin?

Hello Jeffrey,
For now we only use the default highlighting plugin (highlight.js), we don't plan on using GeSHi for now as it requires server-side computation.
Apparently highlight.js should be able to support PowerShell, see here (under "all").
If you feel like digging a bit on how to enable it with the standard CKEditor plugin, we can try to add this to the 3.0
Cheers,
Guillaume
Quick question; is the plan to use the latest major version of CKEditor? Or will you stick to a certain version for now?

My installed versions:
===== begin =====
iTopVersion: 2.7.5-1
iTopBuild: 7770
iTopBuildDate: 2021-07-12 19:29:29
DataModelVersion: 2.7.5
MySQLVersion: 10.5.9-MariaDB
PHPVersion: 7.4.25
OSVersion: WINNT
WebServerVersion: Apache/2.4.51 (Win64) mod_authnz_sspi/0.1.1 OpenSSL/1.1.1
Won't allow me to add more than one picture:
It's a known issue in 2.7.x (not even fixed in 2.7.6), but it is fixed in 3.0, which will be out in a month.
Many thanks! I look forward to it then, however it may take a while for the many extensions to be version 3.0 ready (like IPAM etc.).
2 months after at maximum, IPAM should be 3.0 ready, see here for all extensions compatibility
