I was wondering if it is possible to add a hyperlink to a user portal menu item?
I managed to change itop-portal.xml and add a new item to portal menu called RMA. You can see it attached.
My idea (if possible by changing the same itop-portal.xml) is to somehow make that RMA button open a new tab link (specified URL ) when clicked. Any advice would be helpful, thank you!
Hello Jeffrey, Is there a way to hide certain options from the side menu? For instance If I want to hide 'Service Management' from the image below, how would I be able to do it? Thanks
Might be best to create a new thread for that, it's unrelated to Stefan's question.
You'd do it by creating your own extension which updates the datamodel to remove the menu altogether (assuming you still want to keep the actual items); or where you restrict it based on user profiles/rights.

Hello Jeffrey, I am sorry I should have created a new thread. I just have one last question , in which datamodel itop has the code for the side menu or which attribute in menu would represent the side menu bar? Thank you so much sir

So this would be pointing to a custom hyperlink?
I have this available as a private extension, but it doesn't open in a new tab though.
This could be an alternative: https://www.itophub.io/wiki/page?id=extensions:itop-portal-url-brick
