Most of the FRU fields are added in the factory, and are seldom changed.
There are some FRU fields that should not be readily editable in
customer deployments.   The Board Serial Number for instance needs to be
preserved.

However, some integrators do modify certain Product area fields, and
ipmiutil fru does support editing the Product asset tag (-a) and the
Product Serial number (-s).    

Adding the Product Version as a field that could be modified is
possible, but we want to be careful to only make it easy to edit FRU
fields where there is a use case.   

Is this intended to be used by integrators, or end customers?   Why
would it be desirable to change the Product Version as opposed to using
the Asset Tag or an OEM field for that?

Hi Developers:

I wonder has anyone did or is planning to add a full FRU editor feature
to "ipmiutil fru" or "ipmitool fru" functionality? Right ipmiutil only
allows changes to the "Asset Tag" field. I am interested in changing
"Product Version" and "Product Serial Number".
